چکیده
The maintenance of viable and stable Xanthomonas cells is crucial for the xanthan reliable research industrial production. method, storage recovery conditions should preserve both viability phenotypical genotypical features. Here, effectiveness classical methods on long-term preservation different arboricola pathovar pruni strains was to determine. Strains were preserved by monthly sub-culturing in solid medium lyophilization. After 12 years strains, assessed, as well their productive capacity viscosity gum produced these kept lyophilization sub-culturing. Among lyophilized only those stored at -18 °C after years. poorly affected lyophilization, passage cultures into a nutrition being sufficient them return normal metabolism. synthesized method-dependent higher strains. work its findings are new original because this topic has never been published before. results obtained allow breaking paradigms regarding Xanthomonas.

Aflp Analysis of Xanthomonas Axonopodis and X. Arboricola Strains Used In Xanthan Production Studies Reveal High Levels Of Polymorphism
Amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) was used to analyze the genetic diversity of 14 strains of Xanthomonas arboricola pv. pruni and seven strains of X. axonopodis pv. phaseoli, which are used in xanthan production studies. Relationships identified by the AFLP profiles were assessed for xanthan production capacity, geographical location and host plant. Strains were isolated from 10 dif...
متن کاملA model for predicting Xanthomonas arboricola pv. pruni growth as a function of temperature
A two-step modeling approach was used for predicting the effect of temperature on the growth of Xanthomonas arboricola pv. pruni, causal agent of bacterial spot disease of stone fruit. The in vitro growth of seven strains was monitored at temperatures from 5 to 35°C with a Bioscreen C system, and a calibrating equation was generated for converting optical densities to viable counts. In primary ...
متن کاملLateral flow immunoassay for on-site detection of Xanthomonas arboricola pv. pruni in symptomatic field samples
Xanthomonas arboricola pv. pruni is a quarantine pathogen and the causal agent of the bacterial spot disease of stone fruits and almond, a major threat to Prunus species. Rapid and specific detection methods are essential to improve disease management, and therefore a prototype of a lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) was designed for the detection of X. arboricola pv. pruni in symptomatic field sa...

Xanthomonas arboricola pv. pruni is the causal agent of bacterial spot disease of stone fruits and almond. The bacterium is distributed throughout the major stone-fruit-producing areas of the World and is considered a quarantine organism in the European Union according to the Council Directive 2000/29/EC, and by the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization. The effect of leaf we...
